I’ve been with Arcus for two years but have worked on the Sainsbury’s contract for 16 years. I’m the Area Operations Manager for West Scotland, looking after 18 stores. Within my role no two days are the same. Most days I’m out and about visiting my teams and colleagues at the stores.

The training programmes are great at Arcus I have been on a number of courses and they have equipped me with the technical skills that I need for my role. Arcus also offers training for our in-store cleaning managers, which is something that I haven’t experienced at previous organisations. I think it’s fantastic that so many of our colleagues have the opportunity to broaden their skill-set within their field of expertise.

I really do love my job and the people I work with. We’re all one big team and through our recognition schemes, such as our Going the Extra Mile (GEM) scheme, colleagues feel valued and appreciated.
