Leading facilities management company Arcus FM signs up as an official signatory to the Care Leaver Covenant – a Government funded national inclusion programme which helps enable care leavers aged 16-25 years old to live independently.
In line with this partnership, the company celebrates National Care Leavers’ Week running from 25 October to 31 October. Becoming a signatory partner allows Arcus FM to support care leavers by providing improved access to employment, education, and training.
As part of its pledge, Arcus FM will be offering work experience placements and employment opportunities to support care leavers across the UK, for field and office based roles. Additional guidance will be provided to care leavers as required to enable them to successfully apply for our roles, including how to prepare and produce a CV. Successful applicants will have the help and support of a buddy/mentor every step of the way.
Through the ‘Arcus in the Community’ programme, the company will assist care leavers by delivering redecoration projects ranging from painting and decorating, to carpentry and blind fitting support amongst other services to help young people gain independence.
