Technology led, people driven Facilities Management company Arcus FM has achieved the internationally recognised RoSPA Gold Award for demonstrating exemplary health and safety standards for the third year in a row.
Arcus FM has long been focused on occupational health and safety, embedding a safety culture that goes beyond legislative compliance and looks to deliver excellence across their and their customer’s estates.
A RoSPA Gold Award is the ultimate symbol of achievement in the field, so to secure the accolade for a third year running –demonstrating exceptional standards, processes, and practices in all areas of health and safety consistently – is something the business is truly proud of.
More than this though, the business also attained the RoSPA Silver Award for Fleet Safety for a second year running. This, in itself, was a significant undertaking.
Arcus FM already has one of the largest mobile engineering fleets in Facilities Management, and part way through this year added a further 200 vehicles into the fleet following the acquisition of the Trios Group.
The business has aspirations to achieve Gold in this space, but having kept up the same level of excellence in a year of rapid growth was the core focus for 2023-24.
Commenting on the awards Vicky Downham, Head of Health and Safety at Arcus FM, said:
“Arcus is focused on getting all our people home safely every day – and ensuring outstanding estates for our customers.
“In a year of tremendous growth with increased colleague headcount and more drivers on the road, this challenge is greater still – but our safety-first culture is embedded in all we do, and supports new colleagues in quickly adapting to the high standards we expect. This has been vital in our consistent achievement of these awards.
“We’re delighted to have once again won the RoSPA Gold and Fleet Silver Awards. It is a testament to the hard work and diligence of all of our colleagues, supported by our great HSQE team and our fleet team, and we look forward to maintaining and improving these standards further in the years to come.”
Julia Small, RoSPA’s Achievements Director, said:
“Workplace accidents don’t just pose financial risks and operational disruptions; they significantly impact the quality of life for individuals. This is why acknowledging and rewarding excellent safety performance is vital.
“We congratulate Arcus FM for winning a prestigious RoSPA Award and showing an unwavering commitment to keeping employees, clients and customers safe from accidental harm and injury.”
